Coleen’s Cat Rescue

A colony of cats had formed at one of the local businesses. There were so many of them, hungry and desperate. It broke Coleen's heart, and so she fed them. She reached out with kindness and patience befriending many of them. However, now that food for the strays was being provided regularly, more cats were deciding to call that area home, and the cats were living longer and healthier lives leading to more litters of kittens. The cat colony was growing. The business owners asked Coleen to stop feeding the cats. She could understand the business owner's position, but she couldn't abandon the cats. So Coleen took them home.

Since then Coleen has received assistance from Friends of Horseshoe Bend Animals and Stop the Cycle to get the cats spayed and neutered, and she’s finding homes for them. God bless Coleen. She makes the world a better place!
